How Much Do You Know about Sublimation Printing And Screen Printing

Hi, Nice to see you. The heavy snow has stopped. Everywhere all white, looks so beautiful. In china snow means it will bring a good harvest for the new year. So best wishes for you. Yesterday I have share you there common problems in your digital inkjet printing and give you some ways about how to solve it. In the printing industry, it can be mainly divided into the screen printing and the sublimation printing. Then today in order to late you know more about them I will share you more difference about them.

Screen Printing
Screen printing refers to the use of screen as a base, and through the method of plate-making , made a printing plate with graphic screen . Screen printing consists of five main elements: screen printing plate, scraper, ink, printing stations and substrates. Use the screen printing plate graphic part of the mesh the ink can through it, non-graphic part of the mesh can not be printed through the basic principles of ink. Printing in one end of the screen printing plate into the ink, with a scraper of ink on the screen printing plate to impose a certain pressure on the other side at the same time toward the screen printing plate moving at a constant speed, the ink is moving scraper from the graphic Part of the mesh extrusion to the substrate.

Then the screen printing also have many characteristics. Firstly, the screen printing have strong adaptability.Screen printing can not only print on the plane, but also in the curved surface, spherical and concave and convex printing on the substrate. What's more, screen printing can not only printing in hard objects , but also in the soft printing, free from the limitations of the texture of the substrate. Secondly, it has strong sense of three-dimensional and light fastness. Apart from this the screen printing also have large printing area, today  the largest screen printing products up to 3 meters × 4 meters, or even larger.
But is also have the disadvantages. For example, this technology is not suitable for the small orders and sometimes if you need more different colors and your cost will be higher. Secondly, this technology is not environmentally friendly and the technology is relative complexity.

Sublimation printing
Sublimation printing is use the special sublimation paper, sublimation ink and the sublimation printer for printing. A dye-sublimation printer is a computer printer which uses heat to transfer dye onto materials such as a plastic, card, paper, or fabric. The sublimation name was first applied because the dye was considered to make the transition between the solid and gas states without going through a liquid stage. This understanding of the process was later shown to be incorrect. There is some liquefying of the dye. Since then, the process is sometimes known as dye-diffusion, though this has not eliminated the original name. Many consumer and professional dye-sublimation printers are designed and used for producing photographic prints, ID cards, clothing, and more.

Same as the screen printing, the sublimation printing also have many advantages. Firstly, your patterns printed and transferred are permanent and can not peel or fade also the colors are brilliant and vividly. Secondly, in your process of printing you don't need to worry the dye build up on the fabric. The image can be printed all over the entire item, with no difficulty in printing all the way to the edges.
Also the disadvantages are as follows, sometime you should take a high cost to by a high quality sublimation printer, or your printing speed will be low and your working effect will not better enough. Then any creases in the apparel during printing leave blank spots behind. And the printing area is limited, the  print range depends on the width of your printer.Mostly the width of the sublimation printer are 1.2m, 1.8m, 3.2m.

Okay, These all above are my introduce about the sublimation printing and screen printing. Also the share about the advantages of them. If you have any needs or questions welcome to contact us at any time. We will provide you with the best quality product and service. Hope my article can be useful to you.Thank you for your reading.

Many Different Ways About Printing -----Which One Do You Prefer?

Hi, Nice to see you. Have you read my article before and have you tried the ways that I share about DIY your own T-shirt with the sublimation technology ? If you have tried about it before and how is your outcome ?  And do you know that apart from the sublimation transfer technology there are also some different ways and tools can help you print or DIY your own T-shirt . Then today I will share you some new ways about print your T-shirt.

1. Sublimation Printing
The sublimation printing technology is the most common way about printing or transfer your patterns onto the T-shirt. And if you have red my article before you must know how to do it.
Just print out the patterns you want with the sublimation paper ,sublimation ink, sublimation printer  and then put the sublimation paper printed with patterns onto the heat press machine under the high temperature your patterns will transferred onto the T-shirt still with vivid and brilliant color .

2. Transfer Film/PU Film

Similar to the sublimation transfer technology, the transfer film is also used with the transfer technology. But the biggest difference of the PU film is that print your patterns onto the PU film you must used with the eco-solvent ink and the sublimation printing must use the sublimation ink.
Than the PU film also has many advantages. Your patterns printed must have a high accuracy, the color is very rich. But also with the disadvantages, the surface on your T-shirt with patterns may have a sense of glue and airtight.

3. Direct to garment printing
The biggest advantage of the DTG technology is it is very convenient. But same as before, the most important difference of this DTG is that it  must use the pigment ink. The advantage is that it also have rich color and the fabric printed must be very soft. But the accuracy of this DTG technology is low and if you want to try this you should know that the cost of the ink ink is very high.

4.Screen Printing

In my opinion, the screen printing is as popular as the screen printing. In the screen printing process you should use the oil ink and this ink has a strong coverage ability.
But it can't cover a variety of colors and in most commons it is more suitable for the single color. And the typesetting costs of the screen printing is much higher than the other printing ways.

5.Offset Printing
I have no too much understanding with the offset printing and haven't tried about it. But I know that this kind of printing should use the offset ink and same as the PU printing the patterns printed also have a sense of glue and airtight.  Also the offset ink has a bad smell and the environmental performance is poor.

These all above is my introduction about different ways of printing. Hope it can be useful to you. We are a professional sublimation printing and transferring material manufacturer in China. If you have any need or questions welcome to contact us at any time. We will provide you with the best quality product and service. Thank you for your reading.

Do You Know The Difference between The Sublimation Printing and Screen Printing in Application ?

Hi, Nice to see you again. In the printing industry, apart from the sublimation printing you also heard about the screen printing. Then how much do you know about it and do you know the difference between the sublimation printing and the screen printing. Then today I will have a introduction about it and tell you the difference between them.

Application of sublimation printing
Sublimation paper transfer print is widely used on polyester, satin and some other synthetic fibers. The sublimation dye actually penetrates the fibers and becomes part of the fabric. And nothing is felt! The high temperature during the printing also opens the pores of the polymer and allows the gas to enter. When the item is removed from the eat press, the temperature drops, the pores close and the gas reverts to a solid state. It has now become a part of the polymer. Sublimation print cannot be washed out or come off, unless the actual fibers or coating is damaged. This is why sublimation can't be done on natural materials, like 100 per cent cotton.Natural fibers and non-coated materials have no "pores"to open and so the dye just sits on top of the fabric.
Further, sublimation print is done on white substrates. The reason for this is because the inks are actually transparent, when sublimated, and need a back ground to show up. White is the ideal background because it does not clash with the colors. Indeed, the white background actually enhances the colors.

Comparison with screen printing

Dye-sublimation print with the sublimation paper and sublimation ink on polyester material does not affect the hand of the material and is more desirable than screen printing for home furnishing and wallpaper fabrics and the apparel industry. The colors are very vibrant, do not wash out and the process is less messy than screen printing, which requires messy solvents and dyes.

Sublimation is also very popular with sportswear manufacturers as many printed uniforms (cycle wear, soccer, basketball and lacrosse) on the market today are done via sublimation. Unlike screen printing, where the ink lays on top of the garment, the sublimation process produces permanent images that will not crack or fade. Also, sublimation infuses the image into the thread of the fabric so that it does not affect the breath ability of the garment. Most athletes prefer sublimated jerseys versus screen printing jerseys. Screen printing leaves a layer on top of the garment, which affects breath ability and the comfort of the athlete.

While the screen printing  through the squeegee squeeze, so that the ink through the graphic part of the mesh transferred to the substrate, the formation of the same as the original manuscript. Screen printing equipment is simple, easy to operate, printing, plate making simple and low cost, strong adaptability. Screen printing applications Wide range of printed materials are: color oil painting, posters, business cards, binding cover, commodity signs and printing and dyeing textiles. The most important difference is that the sublimation transfer paper can be generated and custom prints finished in a matter of minutes as opposed to screen printing, which requires lengthy time for preparation of the stencil and assembly of the mesh fabric.

These all above is my share about the difference about the sublimation printing and the screen printing in the aspect of application. If you have any needs or questions welcome to contact us. We can provide you with the best quality sublimation printing materials and service. Hope this article can be useful to you. Thank you for your reading.

What is The Difference between The Sublimation Printing And The Screening Printing in Application?

Hi, Nice to see you. If you have read about my article before you must have a detailed understanding of the sublimation printing already. But have you heard about the screen printing and do you know what's the difference between the sublimation printing and the screen printing? Come and reading this article , today I will have a introduction about them and tell the difference.
Firstly, have a brief about the screen printing.  The principle of screen printing is: printing plate (paper version or other version of the foundation to produce through the ink hole) in the printing, through a certain pressure to the ink through the hole version of the hole transferred to the substrate (paper, ceramics Etc.), the formation of images or text.
Printing through the squeegee, so that the ink through the graphic part of the mesh transferred to the substrate, the formation of the same as the original manuscript. Screen printing equipment is simple, easy to operate, printing, plate making simple and low cost, strong adaptability. Screen printing applications Wide range of printed materials are: color oil painting, posters, business cards, binding cover, commodity signs and printing and dyeing textiles.

Then, compared with the screen printing, what's the special of the sublimation printing.
Dye-sublimation print on polyester material does not affect the hand of the material and is more desirable than screen printing for home furnishing and wallpaper fabrics and the apparel industry. The colors are very vibrant, do not wash out and the process is less messy than screen printing, which requires messy solvents and dyes.Sublimation is also very popular with sportswear manufacturers as many printed uniforms (cycle wear, soccer, basketball and lacrosse) on the market today are done via sublimation. Unlike screen printing, where the sublimation ink lays on top of the garment, the sublimation process produces permanent images that will not crack or fade.
Dye-sublimation is also cost efficient and very popular for short-run customisation of fabrics. Special logos, pictures and designs can easily be created or scanned into the computer. Sublimation Transfer paper can be generated and custom prints finished in a matter of minutes as opposed to screen printing, which requires lengthy time for preparation of the stencil and assembly of the mesh fabric.

So compared with the screen printing you can see that the sublimation printing has many advantages.Firstly, it can highly help you save your time and cost, then it can improve your efficiency. Then the patterns cab be more vividly and it can be stored for a long time. You can even DIY your own favorite patterns with the sublimation printing technology.
Okay, These all above is my introduction about the sublimation printing and the screening printing. If you have any questions or needs welcome to contact us at any time.We will provide you the best service and products.Thank you for your reading.
