How to Clean Your Ricoh Print Head in A Right Way?

Then in the last article I have share you some tips that in which situation you print head would be blocked and how can you clean your print head in a right way. But sometimes, with the different print head you should take the different ways to clean it. Today I will show you the steps about how to clean your Ricoh print head in a right way.
  From the overall structure of Ricoh print head, we can see that it has two filters and two exhaust pipes on a Ricoh print head, and one print head has two color channels. It is to say, one filter and one exhaust pipe control one color channels. Next let's have a look about the specific steps about clean the print head.

Step 1: Remove the whole print head (including filters) from the UV printer and unscrew the plug of one exhaust pipe.

Step 2: Use a syringe to draw cleaning fluid and inject the fluid into the print head from filter on the same side of the exhaust pipe. The cleaning fluid and ink will flow out from the exhaust pipe opened.

Step 3: Repeat the above operations times times until the liquid flowing out is transparent

Step 4: Draw a tube a air and inject it into the same filter, and then screw on the lid of the exhaust pipe after the residual liquid is discharge.

Step 5: Draw cleaning liquid and inject it from the same filter, and the cleaning liquid will flow from the nozzles this time.

Step 6: After the liquid that flows from the nozzles becomes transparent, and then inject air the filter to discharge the residual liquid, just like the way above

Step 7: Clean the another print color channel with the same method.

Step 8: After the cleaning is finished, clean the print head surface with a clean dust-free cloth.

Note:During the cleaning process, don’t let the cleaning liquid contact with the plug of the nozzle cable.

Before we transfer the patterns onto  the patterns one important thing that we should do is to print the patterns onto the sublimation transfer paper with the sublimation digital inkjet printer. And people who have used about the digital printer must know that the most important part of the digital printer is the print head.   Today I will show you two famous print head and have a introduction with the advantages and disadvantages of the two print head.The Epson DX-5 and GEN5 print head.
Epson DX-5 Print Head
Advantages: 
  1. Print effect ranked first.
  2. The price is relatively cheap.
  3. The nozzle can print 5mm radian products.
  4. Suitable equipment type is broad, the consumable material such as the sublimation ink is easy to buy, the maintenance cost is low.

Disadvantages:
  1. The EPSON DX5 print head uses ABS material, the nozzle's anti-corrosion and fluency is not so good.
  2. The DX5 print head can only print 20,000 square meters, the can be only used for 6-10 months, spray white ink will be easier to plug the head.
  3. The printing speed of the nozzle is reduced and the encryption channel appears.

GEN5 Print Head
Advantages: 
  1. Ricoh G5 Nozzle is a real industrial-grade nozzle, it was developed based on the
 technology of Ricoh G4 nozzle by the Japanese Ricoh Company. It uses closed stainless steel floor, so that the nozzle with anti-collision, scratch-resistant function, no longer worry about the nozzle was smashed, or scraped. Ricoh 5 is not easy to be bothered by the work environment (there is constant temperature and circuit insulation system). Not affected by the ink temperature viscosity (applicable to a variety of inks, printing image clear. Out of ink flow).
  2. Ricoh G5 nozzle has a faster speed and higher precision. Now the standard of Ricoh Nozzle is 7PL, it means Gen5 print head has a large improvement in efficiency.

Disadvantages:
  1. The price is too high
  2. The print heads are is bundled with the ribbon wire. If there is a problem with the wire, the nozzle will be scrapped.
  3. Technology is not mature enough. Ricoh Equipment was first used in 2014
  4. The price of equipment is very high
  5. Can only print products which not exceed 3mm, UV printing with white ink is not easy. The technology is difficult to control when printing on super large format products.
